2 months agoTook a ride from KL to have lunch at Jaman Tory Resipi, and it was totally worth it. When we arrived, it wasn’t packed, but people were coming and going constantly, which gave me a good first impression of the place. We tried the patin tempoyak, patin goreng bercili, and coconut shake. Everything was delicious! Just the patin tempoyak with white rice was enough to make me feel sleepy afterward—real comfort food, haha. We even got to chat with the owner and chef, who were super friendly, and took a photo with them too. I’d definitely recommend this spot, especially for those who love riding and hunting for good food.

5 months agoCame here for dinner for the first time, brought by my best friend. Alhamdulillah, all the menus we ordered were very tasty, had an extraordinary taste and were very worth it. Many choices of food and beverage and also a set menu suitable for eating with family, friends or groups. The menu served are totally 'lauk kampung'. The service from the staff is very nice and friendly, but the food wait was quite long. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and calm. hopefully continue to provide good service and delicious food to every customer.

3 months agoJaman Tori Restaurant is undoubtedly a must-visit dining spot in Kuantan. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with an inviting atmosphere that combines superb décor and a unique, modern kampung-style setting. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or even babies, the restaurant offers both open seating and air-conditioned rooms to cater to all preferences. The highlight of the experience is, without question, the food. Their signature dishes—Patin Tempoyak and Singgang Daging—are culinary masterpieces. The Patin Tempoyak, served with a live fire presentation, not only looks spectacular but tastes even better, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients and a perfectly balanced tempoyak flavor. The Singgang Daging is tender, aromatic, and incredibly flavorful, a true testament to traditional Malay cooking at its finest. Every dish is thoughtfully presented, adding a touch of elegance to the hearty flavors. The staff at Jaman Tori are warm, friendly, and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The level of care they provide makes you feel right at home. In short, Jaman Tori is the top restaurant in Kuantan. Its unparalleled food quality, exceptional service, and unique atmosphere make it a dining experience like no other. Highly recommended for locals and travelers alike!

4 months agoTbh this is my first time trying pekasam and tempoyak. Their siganture patin bakar tempoyak is really nice, a bit spicy tho. We ordered set salai masak lomak, not the best I think coz we found another daging salai masak lemak cili api more delicious in another place. The set along with pekasam. Ayam kampung goreng was also nice and flavourful. Give it a try if u want to taste the authentic Pahang food.

5 months agoTbh I don't get the hype of this place. 3 people from my table ordered the same item, but all 3 of them came at different times. First came about 10 minutes after we ordered, then 20, and the final one after 25 minutes. This is not a mark of a good service. They all should arrive at approximately the same time if not simultaneously. And after all that, the taste is quite salty. The table arrangements are also quite cramped with little space in between for customers to walk, making it a bit awkward and invasive of other people's personal space. And for goodness sake, can you at least attempt to hide the staff's booth? Or make it nicer. Can be easily seen from the customers' table and it's messy. Perhaps add a curtain so that it's not visible. Probably wouldn't come here again. P/S: The CKT is not the same as it's once was. It was one of the top sellers here before, but based on what was served to us, perhaps it's no longer the case.
