The day was perfect—clean, windy, and shaded by the leafy embrace of casuarina and pine trees. As I strolled along the pristine shoreline, accompanied by the rhythmic melody of the waves, I couldn’t help but reflect on how this picturesque beach is a blend of natural beauty and historical depth. One often-overlooked aspect of Teluk Cempedak is the historical significance of the pillboxes scattered along its shores. These small, fortified bunkers served as vital defensive structures during World War II, standing guard against potential invasions. They hold within their concrete walls stories of resilience and strategy, a testament to a tumultuous period in our shared history. However, it’s disheartening to see that many have forgotten or overlooked the legacy of these pillboxes. Especially among younger generations, the historical essence of these structures risks fading into obscurity. This is where the tourism industry and local authorities of Malaysia could play a pivotal role. By highlighting the fascinating history behind these pillboxes, they could educate visitors and locals alike, transforming Teluk Cempedak into more than just a beach destination. Imagine how much richer the experience would be if informative plaques or guided tours were available to tell the real story behind these relics. These efforts could turn the pillboxes into unique attractions, drawing visitors to appreciate not just the natural beauty of the beach but also its cultural and historical layers. Teluk Cempedak is already a beloved retreat for many, but with greater emphasis on the history of its wartime past, it could become a site of deeper reflection and learning. As I enjoyed the fresh breeze and peaceful ambiance that day, I left with the hope that future visitors will be encouraged to explore and cherish all aspects of this remarkable place—its sands, its waves, and its stories that deserve to be remembered.

Really awesome, very clean and nit beach, white brown sand surrounded with rocks. Many shops are available near the beach. A food court is also available with delicious foods. It's the best tourist place in kuantan. Parking facility available here on paid basis. Many monkeys can be seen here playing on rocks and a small wooden bridge near the beach. Highly recommended for people of all ages and kids for enjoying their holiday and weekends. 👍👍👌

The beach was clean and comfortable, with ample places to sit and picnic, or simply enjoy the breeze and smell of the ocean. They even have fake grass carpet where you can comfortably sit down and relax. I came here for a few days, and it’s quieter on weekday where there’s less crowds. On weekends, there’s people busking classic Malay and Indonesia pop songs by the beach. Occasionally, there’s wild monkeys hanging out with their families. Unfortunately, their bridge walkway is closed until further notice.

I have already visited here few times as this is my children's favorite place to see the sunrise 🌅 you can park at the designated parking for rm2. Great place to take your family for a beach walk. They have restaurants, McD, kfc and public toilets (rm0.50 per entry). On weekends at night they have a fire show 🤩

Many locals hanging out here on Friday evening, there are even people surfing in the water. Chill and relaxed place. On you way here, don’t drive too fast in the last roundabout, you might end up in the McDonald drive-through road 🤣🤣
