Royale Chullan Villas Cherating

Reviewing this few weeks late. The villa is spacious, got beach view, toilet were big. We asked for baby cot, and we got it though it depends on availability. Lots of parking but need to take buggy to go to the villas. From villas , also need to take buggy to go to pool/breakfast. Can walk too but the buggy is very efficient. Breakfast is just so so. Ordered room service for dinner both nights we were there. The portion is good, taste ok, price is standard hotel price. Beach is very near, such an experience to see people surf in malaysia. Came here for my daughter’s birthday. We got a mini birthday cake. It was thoughtfull we love it. No regret. The staffs were all so good.

*After Royal Chulan Villas Management apologized and quickly addressed service concerns by reopening the restaurant for in house dining and staffing the pool area, we appreciated the hospitality provided by Nazim, Naza, and Nurin during our remaining stay. We stayed at Royal Chulan Villa from March 21st to 23rd, 2025, and were very disappointed. All restaurants were closed, the in-villa food options were poor, and the menu was limited. Even during Ramadan, when you have international guests, there should be better service. The pool area had no staff at the towel reception, and all cafes were closed.It was very disappointing to be sent to the Chalet restaurant for breakfast, considering the significant price difference we paid for the villa. The breakfast was not at all what we expected

We spent two nights in the villa with private pool. Staff were very friendly and available round the clock. Villa had stunning views of the ocean and the beach itself was clean and safe to walk on. Clean robes and towels were delivered daily. Absolutely recommend staying here. Although they should improve menu choices and food quality.

Overall it's okay, no insects in the rooms, the lock to the doors are difficult to open and lock. Feels a little wonky. Price is higher then what id like to pay for. I think rm150-200/night is okay for 2 single beds. There is showers near the exit of the hotel to wash ur sandy feet and slippers, a kids playground, and nice lights at night. Other then that I had a good experience here.

I had a wonderful staycation at RCCV, and I absolutely loved my Family Villa room. The view from my villa was spectacular. I could enjoy the ocean view right from my bed. Having meals and chatting with my family on the balcony was a delight. The private beach was my favorite spot even before RC existed. I also loved their pool, where I could enjoy the beach view while swimming. Since it's still monsoon season, I could watch people surfing, which was quite enjoyable. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of choices from local to western selections. The coffee was excellent, and my daughter particularly enjoyed the yogurt and chef's pasta. It was delicious. My room was clean and spacious, with great water pressure and a jacuzzi in the main bathroom. I appreciated the thoughtful touch like the prayer mat for Muslim guests. A big thank you to Mr. Faiza Musa for assisting with the booking. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. I will definitely return with my family.
