Royale Chullan Villas Cherating

Stayed here from 21st to 23rd May and everything was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Mr. Arif from the sales team, the receptionists, the buggy drivers, the staff at the dining areas (both villa and chalet), and even the kitchen team — everyone was genuinely kind and attentive. The food was consistently delicious throughout our stay. Truly a perfect hotel experience. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised with the chalet (note this is not the villas). The entrance, the front desk and the cafe was nothing to shout about. It was simple and clean. That's it. However I really like the room, for the price we paid (250+ with breakfast) it's really value for money. The room have separate living area with two seater sofa, TV, small fridge and the usual mineral water and instant coffee. Then you have your bedroom with queen size bed and a separate toilet that you can access from living area or bedroom. Water heater, iron and ironing board also being provided. Easy access to the beach is a plus point for me. Too bad there are no swimming pool.

Reviewing this few weeks late. The villa is spacious, got beach view, toilet were big. We asked for baby cot, and we got it though it depends on availability. Lots of parking but need to take buggy to go to the villas. From villas , also need to take buggy to go to pool/breakfast. Can walk too but the buggy is very efficient. Breakfast is just so so. Ordered room service for dinner both nights we were there. The portion is good, taste ok, price is standard hotel price. Beach is very near, such an experience to see people surf in malaysia. Came here for my daughter’s birthday. We got a mini birthday cake. It was thoughtfull we love it. No regret. The staffs were all so good.

I first stayed here in 2019 and had a great experience, which led me to return in May 2025—but unfortunately, it wasn’t the same. The condition has declined. The sofa in the small living room was in poor shape, though the rest of the room was acceptable. The breakfast buffet was just average—nothing particularly memorable. The main plus point is its close proximity to the beach, but even the beach didn’t feel as nice as it did during my previous visit. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

A bit disappointed for the old designed room and beds too soft...have higher expectations for this price as for at least 4 star standard..Anyway breakfast is many variety, but still have room to improve, especially dining room should have Aircon area instead of open air area only. Certain renovation jobs should be done fast to maintain Royal Chulan images.... Swim pool facilities is for Villa only , for chalet can use beach and seaside only...for this price should have a swim pool... If charges less than rm200 then is acceptable but the price is higher which u may get better hotel in KL eg Royal Chulan Damansara and Double tree..Thanks
